RN104 - "Remove inactive volumes to use the disk." problem #27199519

I was 'running out of room' with 2X6TB disks and 2X5 TB disks, installed 5-6-5-6.  I replaced the slot 1 disk with an 8GB disk, giving an 8-6-5-6 arrangement.  Resync et al went well.  I then added another 8TB in place of the other 5 disk, giving an 8-6-8-6 arrangement.  Resync 'seemed' to go well till the unit went into another resync which resulted in both 8TB disks being switched to inactive. When looking at the volumes page, I see two apparently different raid arrangements; a RAID 5 showing the same capacity as I started with and a RAID 1 showing no capacity.  Firmware is 6.6.1. I have jpegs of the screens and a download of the logs but can't find how to attach them to this message

  • You should see a picture insertion icon right next to the hyperlink chain icon in the toolbar (8 over from the "B").

        Hi ecybertom,

Do you have any updates about this case? Might be best to also do a back-up of your files (if possible).

Contacting support would be best as far as I can tell so that they can further check what went wrong.

        Contact NETGEAR Support

        Regards,
