RN104 + 6TB
Ive just put the new 6.4.0 Firmware on my RN104's. Does that mean I can now use WD Red 6TB drives in here and not have the 16TB volume limit as that is what I understand from the release notes.
The HCL states for the WD RED WD60EFRX that "It does not support >16TB volume." but only for this particular disk. Is it an error and the HCL has just not yet been updated, or is there a specific issue with this disk. It would be good to know before I buy them!
Cheers
Martin
The HCL has the comment for several 6 tb disks, not just the red.
Clearly they just need to update the list to remove the comment. The release notes for 6.4.0 state that >16 tb volumes are now supported, so by inference the disks are, (and were) supported; it's just that you can now create a volume bigger than 16tb whereas previously you could use the disks in a configuration where volume sizes were <16tb.

There's a new HCL coming soon, so it can likely get updated around then.
