RN104 and connectio from PC -> NAS -> internet
Hello everyone!
I hope this is the right place for my question and I'll be able to explain my problem correctly. :-)
I want to connect my multimedia PC to NAS with cable (first LAN port) so the 1000g-bit connection will be available. Than I want to connect NAS to router (second LAN port) via cable and enable PC to connect to internet via PC->NAS->router cable connection. Is this possible? As everything i am doing doesn't seem to work.
The only solution as far as i can see is to buy either 1000gbit switch to have 1000gbit connection PC->NAS or buy a new router (more expensive) with 1000gbit speed.
I want 1000gbps connection between PC and NAS. The internet connection is already fast enough and doens't need improvement.
Thank you for any suggestions!

The easiest way is to get a gigabit switch and connect the PC and the NAS to it (and then to the router).
The NAS isn't set up to share its internet connection.
- omicron_persei8LuminaryIt's technically possible to enable routing between both ports of the NAS. But it's not a good way to tackle the problem.
Like StephenB said, you're better off buying a small Gigabit switch. A GS105 is quite cheap and will do just fine ;) - SebaxxxAspirant
Thanks for the answers! Just wanted to save some electricity and spare a dust collecting piece of gear. :-) I'll buy one giga switch tmrw.
If it's not too much of a deal for you guys I have a question on finding folders of installed apps - currently i have an app for torrent download. One torrent completed sucessfully but I can't find it's folder. The location is "/apps/nastools-transmission/downloads" (stated in app location settings). How do I browse to that location? Couldn't find it via windows explorer nor in web interface of readycloud.
Thank you in advance for any tips/hint/suggestions.

Access the NAS in windows explorer with admin credentials, and you will find a hidden apps folder in the data volume.
For instance,
net use * /delete
net use t: \\nasipaddress\data /user:admin nasadminpassword
should mount the NAS data volume as drive letter t.
