If you like the ultra 2, they equivalent new 4 bay model would be the 314.
My impression is that many users are disappointed with the performance of the 104 even when it's being used solely for storage. Also the 104 has a volume size limitation of 16tb which means currently available 6 tb disks ( which are not yet on the 104 compatibility list) would be ( edit ) just higher than you could go in Xraid. These disks are are the 314 compatibility list.
