RN214 USB issues

I have also been having isses with the USB drives and backups 

one usb port just wont read a disk and now the other is also failing

when i disconnect the drive and restart I then put the usb back in and sometimes it reads only to then dissappear again.

 

Backup: Error backup job job_001: Destination cannot be accessed.

any suggestions welcome.
