RN31400 Powers off within seconds off pluggin it in.
My RN314 ( 4 10tb drives ) was off when I got back to my home office. I pressed te power button but nothing happened. I suspected the power supply but the green led was lit so i tried my spare PS....

If it's a firmware problem, the fan would normally start and stay at full speed. But you could have two unrelated problems, I suppose.
Anyway, that you are still under warranty is a good thing, and you should pursue that avenue.

It could still be a power issue (there is still power circuitry within the chassis). Did you look closely at the power socket on the chassis? Sometimes it gets damaged over time. But it could also be another component failure (memory, CPU, etc).
I don't think the fan would cause this particular symptom - Sandshark might know.
