RN424 Setting

Hello? I am a resident of Korea.
This time, please purchase the RN424 model on August 30, 2017 and ask for a serious problem with the settings and 3rd day of use.
1. Using ReadyCloud APP for data transfer between folders and PCs, there is a copy of the data that is copied rather than movement between folders. This is a very uncomfortable part of the Synology / Western Digital / IPTIME product. Is there any solution?
2. Invite a specific account to be shared with a specific account at readycloud.netgear.com I think this is also a serious mistake. Please also tell us how to resolve this

    Hello Paulos,

     

    It does appear that you have some questions about ReadyCloud feature of your NAS. For the first concern you have raised the ReadyCloud app will backup the content of a folder from your computer to a share on the readynas. The process is to copy it data and not to move it.

     

    As for the second concern you have raise there is no way to send invite to share a specific account privileged.  For ReadyCloud you could only send invites to readycloud user to access shares/folder on your ReadyNAS device.

  • If the NAS is on the same network as the computers, I suggest you forget about ReadyCloud all together.  It adds an unnecessary layer to the interface when remote access is not required.

     

    Just access it like you would any other server on your network, directly or as a mapped drive.  I find it generally works more consistently using the IP address instead of the NAS name.  Of course, if you are gong to use the address, you will want to reserve an address for it in your router so it remains the same if there is a power or other interruption.
