After some experimention, I'm able to mount a 4TB (Seagate ST4000DM000) Drive to the ReadyNAS NV+ v2
I was able to do this by using a PC running CentOs 6.2, partitioning the drive as a single GPT partition (via parted) and formatting it with the ext4 filesystem.
