Service Action to Prevent PSU Failures in ReadyNAS NV/NV+

Well color me dissappointed thus far. I just bought my ReadyNAS NV+ off newegg, and was very excited to own my first NAS box. Immediately, I was saddened by how loud it was. I built my PC specifically to be very quiet, and it has a whole lot more in it than this little thing. I also own a Mac, which is dead silent. I own a condo, so I can't really hide the device in closet or basement anywhere. In any case, I was ready to deal with it (fan speed at 1600-1700 RPM).

Then I come to this forum and notice this thread. Infrant is now asking us to bump up the speed another 600RPM to save the power supply! And they have not responded to the questions that have been raised about replacing the fan with a quieter fan.

I really like and want to use this device, but I am close to returning this device, based solely on the noise levels. 2 hard drives, a power supply, and a fan, should NOT be the loudest device in my office.

Please provide some alternative solution so I don't have to return it. Thanks.
