All,
Like everyone, I received the service action relating to the fan failure. I checked my serial number, it fell in the range and then I completely forgot about it. Sure enough, last week the circuit breaker for my wall sockets popped, accompanied by a nasty electrical smell from the cupboard containing my NV.
I sent it off via the RMA process and today (to my surprise) received a shiny new Netgear-branded NV+ in the post. The serial number of this device is outside the range indicated in the service action and the fan speed sits around 2300-2500 RPM - I've certainly not seen it as low as 1600.
So - in a nutshell, is there anything further I need to do? Do I need to install any addons or reverse fans to prevent any further PSUs from croaking on me?
Thanks in advance, and thanks to those who managed to get that RMA through in such a short time!
