Oct 05, 2007So when the NV power supply warning came out I checked out the forum and then I did a fan reversal on my NV. The fans have been running about 2100 RPM or so since the update (May-ish time frame). Today I go down the basement after a recent upgrade (added a gig-switch) and the whole basement smells. At first I thought it was the switch but it is the NV and the bottom is hot.
RAIDAR says front view temp around 30C/86F which does not seem crazy with 4 x 500GB. The filter was clean but I blew it out anyway. The NV sits on a shelf that is not crowded.
The whole box smells fried circuit board and I get the bad feeling like it going to go at any time. I am just not feeling too go about the whole thing. What do I do? What is my course of action :?:
