Trouble with factory reset on ReadyNAS duo v2
Hi,
Please help... I'm having trouble resetting it to factory settings; I have followed the reset procedure in Para 3 of the instructions here (http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RND2110/Duov1_NV+v1_HW_en_06Dec11.pdf), but the disk lights didn't flash at all (instructions state once at approx 5 secs and again at 25 secs). The NAS doesn't now appear on RAIDar.
Background:
I've not used my ReadyNAS Duo v2 (contains 2 x 2TB Seagate Barracuda Green) in a couple of years and am trying to set it up as a backup for my iMac (27" running Catalina 10.15.4). I initially plugged the Duo into my router and it was visible to RAIDar, but I couldn't recall the password - I had set up a password recovery question, and it accepted my email and answer, said that a new password had been emailled to me but nothing came through (checked junk/spam filters etc.). After trying a few times, and not being fussed about the backups previously on there, I tried the reset process and encountered the problem described above.
Anyone else encountered similar, or can offer any advice?
Thanks in advance,
Dave

If you do actually have a V2, then following the instructions for a V1 won't get you where you want to be, The hardware manaual for the V2 is here: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/ReadyNAS_Duov2_NV+v2_HW_en_19-Sept-11.pdf .
Note that I say if because there can be confusion on the version. A true V2 says Duo V2 on the front and has a rear fan the full width of the chassis. V2 written on a sticker on the rear or bottom doesn't mean the same thing.
