Ultra 4 Plus with single 3 TB drive?
Hello everyone. This is a great forum. I have learned a lot already butI have so much more to learn. I am considering to purchase a ReadyNAS Ultra 4 Plus starting out with just a single 3 TB drive...

1. I'm not sure. It's likely if running older firmware, the 3TB drive will still be recognised just <1TB of it. You could update to the latest firmware, verify update completed successfully and then do a factory reset (System > Update > Factory Default) to get a clean setup on the latest firmware.
2. That's fine.
The Ultra 6 uses the same CPU as the Ultra 4 Plus. The Ultra 6 Plus has a much faster CPU.
