Ultra 4 power supply?
Unfortunately my Ultra 4 got hit by lightning. I was behind a Belkin SurgeMaster, together with some other equipment. However that did not save me. A modem is now broke ant the power adapter of an ext...
Interesting that the NV+ and NVX both have more powerful PSUs installed. The NV+ uses a 200W PSU, and you can order a spare from the Netgear Store. The NVX uses a 220W PSU but from the specs and the label on your PSU indicate that the Ultra 4 uses a 120W unit. It looks physically identical in layout to the PSU found in the NV+ and NVX. Interestingly also the PSU found in both the NVX and NV+ do not have the label such as found on your PSU, although I am sure all are made by third parties.
I do note that Amazon has a fanless 120W PSU made by FSP (FSP120-50GNF), but looking at the pin out on my spare NV+ PSU and the image on Amazon and to no surprise there is no match. Both are 20pin ATX main power connectors. It has been said on these forums many times in the past that a standard ATX 20 pin PSU will not match the pin connection. Some have taken standard ATX PSUs and carefully removed enough of the connectors and rearranged them so that they then matched the ReadyNAS standard.
Since you have it disassembled, if you could take photos of both sides of the 20 pin connector and post those it would tell us if the pin out on the Ultra 4 and NV+ are the same. (I know the pin out on the NV+ and NVX match).
Be prepared though, for the reason there is no service available, is that a lightning strike many times does more damage than is readily apparent. You can remove the drives, and connect them to a SATA port on the MB and perform the vendor tests. This will at least tell you if the drives are still viable. Make sure that you note the bay from which each drive was removed.
Makes a good case for a UPS which also provides surge protection.
