upgraded to windows 10 and my SC101T no loner works
I have been using my SC101T for a few years on my old Windows 2003 maching without issues, all my backup files are stored on it. I know the unit is working fine but I cannot get it to work via windows 10, i need to get some files from the drive.
what can i do, will i be able to find a different nas that will accept the HDDs i used in the SC101T and read the files?
any ideas please

ReadyNAS can not accept those disks, and AFAIK there are no other products from any manufacturer that are compatible with this technology.
You could try enabling the SMB1 client on your Windows 10 system, and see if that helps. But if your Windows 2003 system is still in service, I suggest that you copy off the files to external storage and then look for a different solution.

I guess that is because it is a SAN and not a NAS. Likely you need the SCM utility running on the PC (which might not be compatible with Win10). I saw some stuff on the web that suggests the utility can only be installed on 32 bit PCs.

The best solution, assuming no access to a computer with a legacy OS, is to create a virtual machine and use it to access the system and transfer the files. You should be able to do that with an unregistered version of the OS before it expires. But the easiest way to create the VM would be to see if one available from Microsoft (that do expire, but don't complain about being unregistered) will work: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/vms/ .
