Upgrading Ultra 2 with 4TB HGSTs
Hi,
I am using my ReadyNAS Ultra 2 with 2x3TB HGST as a backup NAS, and now I am running out of space. Hence I am thinking of buying some 4TB drives instead. I know they are not officially supported (and no one understand Netgears slowness to approve HDs), but does anyone have any experience using the HGST HDS724040ALE640, or the HGST HUS724040ALE640 in the Ultra 2.
Generally the Deskstar and Ultrastar drives eventually get approved, and I am using these in all my ReadyNAS Pro as well, albeit only a mix between the 1TB and the 3TB drives).
