USB 2.0 External RAID Not Recognized by RN314 with OS 6.2.0
Hi Everyone, I recently purchased a new ReadyNAS 314 running OS 6.2.0. Everything has worked great with only one technical problem. I'm using an old external Iomega RAID enclosure for as a backup...

The NAS sees a Seagate ST3750840AS drive attached with no partition table, which I assume is your iomega drive. Currently we don't support external drives without a partition table, but we will support it in our next firmware release.

Brian, Thanks for your response. The firmware update did not get my RN314 to recognize the external RAID. I'm sending you my log files. Hope that helps. ***

Yes, that's one of the Seagate drives in the external Iomega box. I actually have two 750 GB drives in a RAID 0 configuration. When I used Gparted to reformat the striped array to ext4, I must not have created a GPT; I'll try that and post how it works.
Thanks for the help. May the force be with you Skywalker.

I just reformatted again starting by creating a partition table. It now works great - shows the full amount I need for my backup.
Thanks again.
