External Disk not recognized
Hi all,
I have disconnected a USB external disk for few days from my Netgear RN102. Now, when I have reconnected it, the Nas doesn't recognize the disk. The data are safe, if I connect the disk directly to a PC, I see all the folders and files.
There is a way to see the disk from the NAS without erasing it?
Thanks
Marcello
Your logs indicate
volume is dirty and "force" flag is not set
If you hook the external disk up to your PC and repair it you should then be able to connect it to the NAS again.

Hi semola1,
Can you confirm the Firmware of your ReadyNAS system? I would also like to know if you have connected your external USB hard drive in your PC to run disk error-checking tool?
Kind regards,
BrianL

Hi BrianL,
the firmware in the RN102 is the last published, 6.4.0
I have disconnected the hard disk because I needed to transfer a lot of big folders from My PC and external disk. Using the NAS, it's too slow.
I'haven't changed the structure of disk, except new folders created in the path that already exists.
Thanks

Was the NAS on 6.4.0 before you disconnected the USB disk from it when it was working?
Can you connect the USB disk to your NAS, wait say half a minute or so then download the logs (see the Sending Logs link in my sig) and send the logs in please?
