External Disk not recognized after Format Using NTFS

I have been trying to mount an external hard drive to my NAS for a few hours now.

The drive mounted in the past.

I decided to format my Toshiba 5 TB external USB 3.0 drive using a Windows 10 PC in NTFS format.

Now when I plug the drive into the rear USB port, it will not mount.

Any ideas on how to get it to mount again.

Thanks

    Hi McRob1,

Have you tried connecting the said hard drive to the other USB 2.0 port of your ReadyNAS? What if you format it in another file system like FAT32?

    Kind regards,

I already tried the front USB port.

I already tried formating the drive on my MAC using FAT32.

I already tried formating the drive on my PC using exFAT.

      Any more ideas?

I had to do a manual restart of the NAS and now I can see the drive again.
