Use just some of a 3TB drive on a Duo?
Forgive me if this has been asked before, but I just wasn't able to find this specific question anywhere... I have a ReadyNAS Duo. I already know the Duo will not give me a full 3TB worth of space ...

It won't work because of the difference in CHS does not understand the layout of 3tb when accessed by non-3tb aware bios/mbr.
So no, you will not be able to access 2tb of the 3tb drive as only the 750gb is visible to the system.
there is absolutely nothing you can do except get a 2tb drive.
