Using ReadyNAS to serve content from port

Hi guys,

I have followed the KB article to setup a personal webserver and have this working perfectly:

http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12257/~/create-a-personal-webserver-on-the-readynas-(raidiator-4.x)

What I would like to do now is serve the content currently running via a port (specifically the PlexPy app on port 3033) but I cannot find a way to link to this from my html file.

Is this possible?

ie. I have an index.html file in [ReadyNAS-IP-address]/http linking through to several other files and would like to add a button that links to [ReadyNAS-IP-address]:3033/home

("http" is the name of the share I setup in the linked KB article)

an example of some of the things I have tried are:

<input type="button" onclick="../javascript&colon;window.location.port=3033" value="Test1" />
<input type="button" onclick="javascript&colon;window.location.port=3033" value="Test2" />
<input type="button" onclick="javascript&colon;window.location.port=3033/home" value="Test3" />

Test1 and 3 show syntax errors and Test2 links to [ReadyNAS-IP-address]:3033/http/ which does not exist.

Can anyone help shed light on where I may have gone wrong?

Thank you!

    Hi michaelekins,

    Welcome to the community!

    I couldn't say if this is possible or not possible. Let me check and try this one on my end. Also, let's wait for some feedback or suggestion from other NETGEAR community members.

    Kind regards,

      For anyone wondering, it looks like this is not possible (if it is, I have not been able to get it to work).

      Hopefully this is a feature that may be supported in future.

      Thanks guys!

        Hi michaelekins,

        For Legacy units, it is unlikely that this function can be added or considered since these series is already EOL. But in the new ReadyNAS OS 6 series, a feature request can be forwarded to our support team or you can post an thread in our Idea Exchange Board.

        Kind regards,
