Volume degraded after firmware update to 6.9.5 on RN212
NAS device was upgraded to the 6.9.5 version this evening and after reboot my drive in slot 1 is now showing as degraded. I rebooted and have power reset with no fix. Ran disk tests also with no luck...

It uses an SFX supply. Here's one of several threads here with some more information: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS-in-Business/Time-Machine-backups-over-wifi-possible/m-p/1288591#M153170
The stock supply was made by Seasonic, but it is no longer available. However, Silverstone and Corsair do make supplies that will fit. You might need an ATX exrtender cable though.
Sandshark will hopefully provide some more specifics if you need them.

Thanks StephenB . The unit seems to be working OK now (albeit with SATA DMA errors). I’ll keep an eye on it and see if it gets worse. I’m wondering if I enable spin down again whether it will cause disk failure again. Maybe the spin up process is taxing the power supply. It would mean I’d have to reset the NAS again and restore files. Or maybe I should just leave it alone while it is working! This is a tricky one to troubleshoot. Thanks all for your help and sorry to hijack your post chyzm. Maybe this has been of some help. I’d be interested to know whether your unit has similar error messages in the kernel log.

The original power supply is a 300W one, but the 5V and 12V rails are more capable than most 300W. The 5V isn't as important as the 12V, as that's what spins the drives. I recommend you get at least a 350W replacement. Another issue is you need three 4-pin Molex connectors. The 90° connectoprs on the original are the kind you just push the wire in, so they can be used to replace a SATA or floppy connection on the supply, if needed. I see some from KDMPower on eBay for under $40 that look like they would do the job. It has thermal speed control, which the original does not, and the required three Molex. It does have a 110/220 switch instead of it being automatic. But not having any Pro6's in service any longer, I've not purchased one.
Oddly, one of the pictures seems to be a mirror image of the others. With the fan facing up and the mains input toward you, the power input is on the left, not right side of center. Unfortunately, no legible characters on it to see if it's just an image reversal thing.
