WD RED 3.5" 1TB (WD10EFRX) and ReadyNAS DUO v2
I have a ReadyNAS DUO v2 with RAIDiator 5.3.9 and wonder if WD RED 3.5" 1TB SOHO NAS SATA/600 64MB (WD10EFRX) will work in my NAS.

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserIt is not on the HCL (http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20641), so Netgear might deny support. However, I believe it will work (and in my opinion it is a better choice then several of the drives that are on the HCL). I use the 3 TB version in my Pro-6 and my RN102, and the 2 TB version in my duo v1, and have had no issues with them.
However, there was a short period of time when Western Digital's firmware had an inappropriate head parking threshold for linux. If you see a rapidly rising load cycle count, you can download a utility from WDC and adjust the threshold to fix it. (That will require connecting the drive to a PC).
