20-50 per day is not a problem in itself -- at that rate the drive won't reach its maximum rated LCC count until sometime in the second half of this century -- but it is curious that this drive's behavior is different from that of the other drives in your system. I might have suspected that the LCC increases were due to OS-initiated disk spindown (Frontview System:Power:Enable Disk Spindown), but if that were the case, I would also have expected all drives to be affected equally.

Did you power-cycle the NAS -- not just reboot it -- after you disabled the Idle3 timer using WDIDLE3?
