WD RED WD30EFRX not supported in the ReadyNAS 516?
Why on earth are the 1 and 2 TB versions of the RED supported, but not the 3 TB? The 3TB runs in the Pro 6, what makes them unstable in the 516? Thanks.Peet

Drives are not on the HCL for two reasons.
(a) They are not compatible
(b) Netgear hasn't tested them
Unfortunately, Netgear doesn't provide a list of drives that are known not to work.
The RN 516 is brand new, I am thinking that the disk testing is not complete. Though IMO Netgear made a mistake by not testing the 3 TB version first.
