I would really like to avoid using the other recommended drives, and upgrading the 1100 to different $1000+ NAS is going to be a tough sell to the office manager. My question is: can I use WD RE4 WD2003FYYS drives in my ReadyNAS 1100, even though they are not recommended on the 1100 HCL? If not, can you give me advice on the best course of action for using the WD RE4 WD2003FYYS drives? Is upgrading the office ReadyNAS hardware the only option? Thanks, - Rob -
