Which ReadyNAS models run OS4
When contacting support I was recommended to replace the chassi to my ReadyNAS NV+ v1 with a suitable replacement. The requirement was that the unit runs OS4. Which ones is he talking about? I can't f...
"OS4" means the firmware family.

v1 platforms (sparc based) run 4.1.x firmware. That includes NV+ v1, duo v1, and several rack-mount models
The ultra and pro families (x86) run 4.2.x firmware.
Both 4.1.x and 4.2.x are considered OS4. However, you can't migrate 4.1.x disks to 4.2.x systems (or vice versa).
v2 platforms (arm based) run 5.x.x firmware. That includes the NV+ v2 and Duo v2. I guess that's OS5, though generally we don't use that phrase here very often.
The new NAS lines (launched 2013) all run OS6 (6.x.x firmware). That includes the RN100, RN300, RN500, and RN700 products.
OS4 and OS5 products are all end-of-life, though you can still find some new ones in the distribution channels. What drives the requirement to replace the NAS with an OS4 device?
