Which unit to upgrade to?
Currently have an NVX with 4*2TB onboard and its full. I was going to buy a pair of 4TB and then later on buy another pair, using auto expansion, as I have already done this when I went from 4*1.5 ...
The RN314 is a new product. It runs a new OS, ReadyNAS OS 6 and uses the btrfs filesystem and a newer kernel.
The RN314 has a couple of eSATA ports and a HDMI port.
The Ultra 4 and Ultra 4+ are discontinued products. The focus going forward will be on the new models.
The EDA500 is an optional 5-bay expansion chassis that connects to an eSATA port on the RN314. If you purchase an EDA500 you could create additional volumes using the disks in the EDA500.
