- Right Click menu added
- Ability to completely hide the status bar, via right click.
- Torrents are sortable, via right click.

- Now works with Safari and other non Firefox browsers that support user scripts. Just set the location of your readynas in the script file(var RNBTserver = "";).
- UI improvments
Updated 6-13-08
- Now supports Firefox 3.
- Added a style for when the manager is trying to connect to the torrent server.
Updated
- I have changed the way torrents are processed, the script will no longer direct you to the Readynas BT Manager, instead it uses ajax to just send the command.
- I have also added a download monitor to the script. At the bottom of any webpage that you visit a little status bar will be added showing you the status of your downloads. When you mouseover the item it will expand to show the details and give you the ability to start/stop and remove the torrent.

Thnx in advance :).
I tried loading the script in Safari using Greasekit and the instructions provided here, but to no avail. I ended up with what appeared to be an installed script, but no prompt to define the nas address.
It'd be great to get it working in Safari--Firefox's scrolling bugs drive me loopy. - What am I doing wrong?
I have installed the link, entered the transmission web page http://192.168.1.10:8181
I get a pop up stating that the torrent has been added...... but there is nothing added to the transmission web page at http://192.168.1.10:8181.
What am I doing wrong? - scepAspirantI have made several updates to the script.
If you have not updated the script in a few months there some ui changes that have been done.
Non Firefox users
I have added a variable at the beginning of the script that you can set to the url of your readynas. This is to fix the issue people have with browsers like safari that wont prompt you for an address. just add the address to this line,
var RNBTserver = "";
Also i know that at times when you click on a torrent it says it was sent to the readynas but nothing changes. I think that this is a bug in the readynas client. I have seen action with both the script that i wrote and also when using the native client. I am not sure on how to fix it. When this happens to me i just click on the link again. - delhuxAspirant

So...do I add the url of my readynas inbetween the quotes? After the line (with/without a space)? - scepAspirant

yes,
var RNBTserver = "Yourserveraddresshere"; - delhuxAspirantThanks for the clarification, but I can't seem to get it to work for Safari. All .torrent files are still downloading to my downloads folder and not showing up in the bittorrent manager.
I'm using Safari 3.2.3, OS X 10.5.7, and GreaseKit 1.5. - arnstarnAspirantEver since I updated to Safari 4 I have not been able to use any of my scripts. So i'm guessing that it might be Safari 4 causing all of this. Is anyone experiencing the same issues? It works flawlessly on firefox but I prefer to use this on Safari.

But I had utorrent on this computer. Now I wanted to try to auto link and try bit torrent on the nas. I installed your monkey for firefox and all looks good per your instruction.
Now If I click the torrent, it's still associated with utorrent. How do I make it be associated with greasemonkey and your script, intead of utorrent?
I tried to manually copy the torrent link location into the ready nas torrent browswer but doesn't link. I had to download the link to the desktop then upload to bittorrent ready nas for it to work.
Thanks ahead for your help.
That's really quite bizarre - I did almost the exact same thing as you, with no issues at all. I didn't have to do anything with file associations - the script seems to "grab" the link before anything else happens.
OH! Actually, some places do funny things with their torrents - for example, tvtorrents.com torrent links don't work, but they do some strange things with their URLs, so I sort of expected to have problems there.
Do you see the +NAS image in green next to your target links? What if you just tried a random torrent off of thepiratebay.org? Those have always worked wonderfully for me.
As I understand it, all this code does is the equivalent of sending the link to the interface, just the same as you'd do it manually, so if manually entering a .torrent link doesn't work then I expect this script won't either.
Can you post a few of the urls for tvtorrents so i can add the pattern into the script. - scepAspirant

Would it be possible add somewhere the option to turn off the monitor? I recently wanted to make a couple of screen captures of web pages and was only able to remove the monitor by disabling GM. It worked - but an option to support this woudl have been useful.
Perhaps a status bar icon? Could bring up a menu to set the bittorrent client URL, allow direct access to the client etc too
thanks

Ok i worked on a few things,
first, as before there is a small icon on the right that will minimize the statusbar leaving just that small icon in the bottom left to reactivate the bar.
second, there is now a menu when you right click, where you can pick to minmize the statusbar, same effect as clicking the icon, you can also hide the statusbar. if you do this you will need to use the greasemonkey menu to show it again (right click on the GM icon and then select user script commands -> show/hide torrent status bar).
Third you can sort the torrents by using the right click menu. - dashyt2dafullizAspirantthanks for this.
I seem to be having some issues though. After the install and running the test it seems to work but when I go to demonoid as one example, it doesn't seem to autolink it. any thoughts? I do not have any torrent program installed on my computer so after clinking on the link windows pops up with a message on what I need to do with the file.
