- Now works with Safari and other non Firefox browsers that support user scripts. Just set the location of your readynas in the script file(var RNBTserver = "";).
- UI improvments
Updated 6-13-08
- Now supports Firefox 3.
- Added a style for when the manager is trying to connect to the torrent server.
Updated
- I have changed the way torrents are processed, the script will no longer direct you to the Readynas BT Manager, instead it uses ajax to just send the command.
- I have also added a download monitor to the script. At the bottom of any webpage that you visit a little status bar will be added showing you the status of your downloads. When you mouseover the item it will expand to show the details and give you the ability to start/stop and remove the torrent.

- HokiePerogiAspirantI cannot get torrents to be added to the Download Manager via the script. I click on the .torrent (it's showing the NAS icon) and get the popup dialog saying it was added. I then click OK and check the Download Manager, but there is nothing in there. I've doubled checked that the ReadyNAS address is current by using the "Open ReadyNAS Manager" link in GreeseMonkey. I'm running FF3 and the latest ReadyNAS firmware on my NV+.
When I try the following in a browser, it the request goes through, but nothing shows up in my Download Manager:
h t t p : / / peroginas:8080/api/torrent-add?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mininova.org%2Fget%2F1577438&start=yes
Any suggestions? - HokiePerogiAspirantI switched from trying mininova.org torrents to piratebay torrents. I have the same issue when clicking links in FF3. However, when I build the link myself and sent it:
h t t p : / / peroginas:8080/api/torrent-add?url=http%3A%2F%2Ftorrents.thepiratebay.org%2F4247756%2FBig_Brother_UK_S09_D014c_Big_Mouth_XviD_PDTV.4247756.TPB.torrent&start=yes
it actually worked. In the GreeseMonkey script, is the URI being formed using the Javascript encodeURIComponent() method? This is the way the ReadyNAS Download Manager does it. - jaysin436AspirantI'd like to 2nd the request for the ability to hide the monitor. I often browse and search via my EEE PC and with it's small screen, pixels are at a premium. Hiding the monitor would be nice a feature.
I've also had problems with links from btjunkie (Pirate bay links work okay for me though). I get the Torrent added but it never shows. Even cutting and pasting the linking into the download manager doesn't work. Would it be possible to get the script to save the torrent file to a directory and then use the upload add from file option in the download manager? This always seems to work for me in the download manager.
Thanks, love the tool.. I switched to using Firefox because of this! - RoelJewelAspirantI managed to get it working in Firefox. Is there a way to get it working under Safari using GreaseKit? I am able to install the script but when reloading the page it does not ask me for the NAS address so it is not possible to use it :(.
Thnx in advance :). - LoverAspirantThis would be also great if it would be an addon program for Frontview and also would work under Windows Internet Explorer.
Thank you. - dondavisAspirantNice work! I will test it tonight with some sweet legal downloads from various Linux sites...

Thank you.
That's way outside the scope of this particular project - this script just works with Greasemonkey, which is just for Firefox.
The script simply wouldn't work conceptually as an addon in Frontview, since it has to modify each webpage you visit, and that can only be done locally - from your own computer. - BinksAspirant

You can just right-click on the monkey head at the bottom of the screen, then select "ReadyNas Torrent Linker & Monitor". This should remove the checkmark from in front of it. That'll disable the script, and once you reload the page the monitor will be gone. You should just have to right-click and re enable it when you want it back. This might be an acceptable stopgap measure for you. - dchoe1Aspirantwhat about getting this to work with transmission?
- delhuxAspirantThis is only too perfect. Thanks!
