Dropbox not syncing
Hi,
I have Dropbox 1.4.17 installed on my Readynas Ultra 4 running radiator 4.2.21.
For a couple of days everything ran smoothly, but then suddenly it stopped syncing. I've tried restarting the service, restarting the Readynas, relinking the account, uninstall/reinstall Dropbox, but nothing helps.
There are no error messages in Frontview - it says the service is running and that an account is linked.
Any suggestions highly appreciated!

- monstertruckAspirantNo, the syncing is not working either way. I've tried adding files from PC's, Macs and from the dropbox website. All other clients sync perfectly between each other but from and to the NAS nothing happens.
One thing I noticed at the initial installation of the Dropbox on the NAS and the initial transfer of files was that folders named with a ":" seemed to stall the file transfer. On Macs this seems to work fine, on PC's these folders did not show up but did not stall file transfer. When I renamed these folders the file transfer on the NAS resumed. Now, could there be other file types that would stall the file transfer?
Thanks for all your help, by the way! - WhoCares_MentorWould have to test this but using special characters like ':', ';', '?', '*', '/' and '|' in file names is not a good idea for Linux/Unix based systems like the Mac or the ReadyNAS. Using underscores is fine as should be dots.
So the ReadyNAS is syncing fine now?
-Stefan - monstertruckAspirantYes, finally got it to work again. I once again reinstalled everything from beginning. All files were files uploaded to the NAS without problem, but then sync was only working one-way (from NAS to other devices, not from other devices from NAS).
After some playing around with file permissions on the share it is now syncing both ways. Phew! - altwinAspirantHi,
after updating dropbox to version 1.6.0 syncing stopped working. Is this a known issue ?
I managed to get it working again by going back to version 1.4.9. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWhat about Dropbox version 1.6.2? Syncing is working fine for me.
Don't forget to update Dropbox on your Mac/PC as well if you update it on the NAS (should happen automatically anyway but it might take a few days). - EmanuelpAspirantHi! We have problems with the Dropbox add on not syncing. It seems like it is when the filenames contains special swedish letters like (å,ä,ö).
Any solutions?
/Emanuel - rivalcompAspirantI'm on Dropbox addon v2.4.2 stable. Files with Hungarian accentuated letters (öüóőúéáűíÖÜÓŐÚÉÁŰÍ) aren't syncing (neither download nor upload). Any solution to this problem? Thanks.
