Identifying my Unit and Reviving it
I'm trying to identify what unit I have. On the front panel, it says "ReadyNAS Duo" (no version number). On the underside label, it says "ReadyNAS Duo RND2000 v2". I can see that this has been a ...
when I use / admin, I get the SSL error.
Use Firefox, and set security.tls.version.min to 1 (browse to about:config and search for the setting).
After set up, you can also enable ssh and make a mod to one of the config files that lets you connect with http (unencrypted, but works with any browser).
Finally getting back to this. Yes, when I use / admin, I get the SSL error.
In the hopes that it was simply in need of some drives it could cope with, I have now replaced those with 2x 1Tb drives.
I went through the factory restore process, RAIDar reported for quite some time that it was Synching. It stayed at 0.0% for about 2 hours and then suddenly changed to "Healthy."

Did the Firefox thing and now have a very much more useful interface.

No setting for it. You need to modify one of the config files.

I have SSH installed and (after realising I'm to log in a "root" not "admin") I have gained a connection. I ca see teh offending file.
the process requirs that I save a modified version of the .conf file to the NAS. Oddly, one thing I cannot do is create a SMB share!
The GUI has two default SMB shares: backup and media. I can't see either from my Windows PC.Any further ideas, please?
