Interesting software. I could see the need on the iPad, where it draws more current than many USB ports put out by default.
I already charge my iPhone daily off a ReadyNAS, without any software needed. If I have photo backup enabled (USB Storage tab), I believe it also tries to copy my Camera Roll off also.
