Magnet link with BT Download Manager?
Since torrent files are soon to be history, is there a way to pass a magnet link to BitTorrent Download Manager? It's not beeing developed anymore I've heard.
I really like BTDM and it has served me well. I tried to use Transmission once instead but I could'nt figure out how to get it to work properly. The download speed were awful regardless of how I configured it.
As a second option: does there exist any tool to create a torrent file from a magnet link (to pass on to BTDM)?

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThe BitTorrent add-on is no longer developed and no longer supported. Try Transmission. I believe this supports magnet links. See http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=59964
- frelar8AspirantI thought I was pretty clear in my question. I cannot get Transmission to work properly = I don't want to use it. I like BTDM.
Questions:
1. Is there a way to get magnet link to work with BTDM?
2. Is there a way/tool to create a torrent file from a magnet link? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWell the BitTorrent add-on hasn't been updated by the 3rd party developer in a very long time. It's no longer supported and there is a good 3rd party alternative.
Best to troubleshoot your issues with Transmission. You might want to take a look at this post: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=338583#p338583 - giovpyAspirantI have the same problem, I really like BTDM - and would like to keep usin it. I tried initiating the download from magnet link on my local pc and uploading the torrent file which is created to BTDM but it doesn't start the download and I dont know why,nas locally the download starts and goes pretty fast - any ideas? Any other solutions?
I tried installing the transmission - however I don like it and I lost acces to my network drives after installing it...
I will appreciate any feedback/ advice
Thanks
