Need help compiling Automatic for Duo
I found Automatic and want to use it with Transmission. I've gotten a lot of packages installed on my Duo to compile, but I'm stuck. Here is the error I'm getting:
Automatic is here
http://kylek.is-a-geek.org:31337/Automatic/
and here for support
http://forum.transmissionbt.com/viewtop ... f=1&t=5199
I figured this would be the best place to ask, since I'm wanting to compile on the Duo.
I search the web for a bin file of it or for instructions that someone already shared, but I had no such luck.
checking for LIBXML... configure: error: Package requirements (libxml-2.0 >= 2.6.31) were not met:
Requested 'libxml-2.0 >= 2.6.31' but version of libXML is 2.6.16
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables LIBXML_CFLAGS
and LIBXML_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

nas:~# - WhoCares_MentorCool. Seems like you don't have any libcurl on your ReadyNAS. Makes me wonder how that may have happened. Anyway, I'd still like to see the output of:
ls -al /usr/lib/libcu*
-Stefan - Trial_MasterAspirantI've got a stock standard NV+ (not a DUO) if that would explain why I don't have this libcurl? Was the Automatic bin file supposed to install it or should my NAS already have it?
nas:~# ls -al /usr/lib/libcu*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 12 Mar 11 12:32 /usr/lib/libcups.so -> libcups.so.2
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 98564 Jul 14 2009 /usr/lib/libcups.so.2

EDIT: I deleted the symlink the ln -s libcurl.so.4 libcurl.so.3 command created, from a previous post of yours today since I'm not running RAIDiator 4.1.7 beta. - WhoCares_MentorYou're right. It seems that libcurl isn't part of the standard 4.1.6 RAIDiator release but it somehow managed to get installed onto the normally clean 4.1.6 system I use for testing. Sorry for that.
Ok, since RAIDiator 4.1.7 seems to include lubcurl.so.4 I guess there's no harm if I ship libcurl.so.3 with the automatic add-on. I'll create an updated add-on right away ;)
-Stefan - Trial_MasterAspirantOkay that would be great, thanks! Explains why it wasn't working anyway :)
The only files I've seen that can kill FrontView is libxml2 which was in this thread viewtopic.php?f=36&t=39328 - WhoCares_Mentor

Ah, well, there's many more ways to kill FrontView but I won't tell ;)
Anyway, new version is up here: automatic_0.6.2-readynas-0.9.2.bin
-Stefan - Trial_MasterAspirantGee that was quick
- WhoCares_MentorThat's why my hourly rates are so high. I'm so fast when doing stuff I can't afford to be cheap :-D
-Stefan - Trial_MasterAspirantI would hire you in a flash if I had a requirement. I'll certainly let people know about you I'm super impressed!!!
Just about to install your update then I think a click on your donation button is in order :D - Trial_MasterAspirantGot some strange behaviour with the green/grey icon and service status as to whether the service is running or not. If I untick the box it says it was already stopped and if I tick it says it was already running?
Even if I get the Green box to light up when I tick the box next time I log into Frontview the tick is still there but the box is grey so very confusing. EDIT: Just logged in again and tick is gone and box is grey so don't know if it's running or not to be honest.
How can I test via SSH if the service is actually running?
