- Deaf_Raiders1AspirantI am thinking for restoring my NAS Duo back to factory reset. Don't know if anyone tried it and re-installed transmission and worked? I rely on transmission to up my ratio.

Right-click on the torrent -> Bandwidth allocation -> download/upload speed
thanks worked a treat! - endquoteAspirantI've got a duo (original) and Transmission stopped working a long time ago... not sure why. I'm trying to update to the current version, but the "upload and verify" spinner on frontview just stays there forever. Is the Transmission addon still supported on the old Sparc units?
- phantomwhaleAspirantI've been trying to get it back up and running on my SPARC unit for ages now. 2.31 seems to install OK, but then crash every few hours. 2.33 onwards don't seem to install correctly (they show popup errors on frontview) and also fall over pretty quickly. And the older 2.1x version had constant trouble with changing the owner on key files, meaning torrents die with bad permission errors.
So overall I've not yet found a version that just works, and suspect future versions will continue to exhibit these issues. I've tried diagnosing what the errors are on install, but cannot see where this is logged, and have not been able to find anyone who knows either.
Now these could be issues with my box only, so please do still give it a shot, but as a warning I've been trying every month or so to sort my box out for about a year now, and think I'm going to have to find another solution :( - Deaf_Raiders1AspirantHave you tried a different browser? I had tried with Google chrome and I had crashing issue installing transmission so I used IE and it installed fine. As for private trackers I have gave up no-one seems to solve tht problem all the transmission issue started when I updated to 4.1.17 RAIDator
- Mr_BGuideUm, what issue? I've been using transmission 2.42 on a few private trackers, and aside from it getting nowhere near the speeds i get from uTorrent on the PC, it does just what it's supposed to...

I kept getting Transmission Scrape Eroor: Could not connect to tracker. My brother in law's NAS(different house same ReadyNAS Duo) can connect to the tracker but not my NAS. I looked at the settings and it seems that my port is closed. I have opened the port in the router and still states closed. I've tried every version of transmission and none of them work at all! I have not changed any of the file settings.
The tracker is up and running.
Please help. On the latestRAIDiator 4.1.8 [1.00a043]. - Mr_BGuideOf the top of my head i'd say it's a connectivity issue, rather then a issue with the NAS it self. Hardly fun, but just to make sure i'd start with the router. I use uPnP, so i haven't even configured ports. See if you cant set yours to uPnP, and then jump in to transmission, and do it there to.
BTW, you, and your brother are accessing the same tracker? Have you checked with the "staff" to make sure they don't enforce limits of some kind? The tracker might not like the two of you trying to seed and leech torrents at the same time, from different identities, if it thinks your coming from the same place. (same IP) Also if thats the case, then shutting your bro of over night, and then trying yours before his, with a fresh torrent, should get you going, and give him the same error message. Also i know at least one tracker i had to switch from "secure" login to "normal", to let the NAS do the torrents. In my profiles that was mentioned as needed to log in from multiple locations, but on the tracker forum it was also mentioned as needed for seedboxes. Apparently, even as the NAS is on my private net, it needed that setting, on that tracker. None of the other trackers have needed anything similar. But i'm all alone on my subnet, so to speak.
B! - Deaf_Raiders1AspirantI use uTorrent on the PC that's works fine on the private torrent I have told me brother to try his off and I still can't access it. I have uPnP on but I can't configure the ports for that in my Netgears WNDR3300. Me and my brother have different IDs. Where in transmission do u set up uPnP. I am a Techincian person.
- Mr_BGuideI THINK uPnP is labeled "use port forwarding from my router" under network in preferences, or you simply use transmission remote dot net, where it's on the general tab of Options/remote settings.
In the router it's Advanced/uPnP and a checkbox for "Turn uPnP on"
If your torrents run of uTorrent while your bro runs them of the NAS then you should be able to get it to run of the NAS to. Check your profile on the tracker, and / or ask the crew for ideas, see if they know what it can be related to. As i said, i had a similar issue where the tracker wouldn't accept my NAS until i switched to a different security setting on the tracker. Cant for the life of me remember the error message.
