No Users Found - RemoteNAS

Really need some help!!!  Have a Netgear NAS NV+ and have been running RemoteNAS successfully for years.  Performed an update a few weeks back.  End user informed me she was unable to connect via Remote NAS.  Uninstalled/reinstalled the client which usually fixes the issue but no go this time.  Rebooted the NAS Drive, no go.  Decided to remove the client account from the NAS and add it back, however, now am receiving "No User Found".

This is incorrect as I can login via the web to all end user accounts.

Did research on the forum and following suggested fixes, i.e., remove add-on and resintall and now cannot add any users back to the NAS.  Grrrrr!!!

I am not familiar with SSH, therefore, I am unable to remove files that were outlined in other threads.

Can someone given SPECIFIC instructions for using SSH or provide another fix for this issue.

Factory reset???  Will I Lose all my data??

Help Please!!!

My client is not gonna be pleased.

Thank you!

  • I'm experiencing the same issue, always get User not found, even though it exists/can login via https://remote.readynas.com/

    Did you find a solution?

    I have a ReadyNAS Ultra 6 [X-RAID2] running firmware RAIDiator 4.2.27

It seems there was a problem from our VPN server that affected both Readycloud app and Readynas Remote but fix has been deployed and the problem should resolved by now. I would recommend to reboot your NAS and check the connection again from the Readynas Remote.

Do not perform a factory reset that will delete all the data save on the NAS.

Thank you for your response to this post.  Unfortunately, I have rebooted the NAS and tried to add the users, still received "No users found."

      Please advise.

        Hello Annamarie,

Can you post a screen capture?

Are you entering the email address of the ReadyNAS Remote user? Have you checked if the ReadyNAS is getting on the Internet? I'd suggest adding secondary DNS 8.8.8.8 to the network settings of the NAS too.
