phpMyAdmin complains about mcrypt not being installed

actually i messed up between php from Whocares and SuperPoussin MyphpAdmin.
I updated php and unstalled PromyphpAdmin then installed Myadmin from whocares.
The problem is that I do not see the Use and Configure buttons in the Addon and I still cannot login because I do not know the default Admin password. Help please !
