Re: Plex Media Server (0.9.3.5) how to upgrade?
I did not know exactly how to upgrade , I assumed that Plex Media Server (0.9.3.5) would upgrade the Plex nine add-on PlexNineServer_0.9.2.8-34880ac-rnx86-0.1.6.bin , but it did not. After installing I had 2 plex servers add-ons , where obviously the 2 were kind of mixed up.
When I tried to manage the plex media server 0.9.3.5 I got the old version web interface , at least nothing was changed, looking at the preferences.
Then I uninstalled the add-on PlexNineServer 0.9.2.8 , but then everything was gone. So i continued with removing and adding the add-on 09.3.5 and tried to manage the server , but I got a 404 page not found.
Looking in the log using a windows share it says:

- WhoCares_MentorThere is a problem with the current release of PlexMediaServer not properly removing the old stuff from PlexNineServer. That's why you're seeing both in the list of installed add-ons. This will be fixed in an upcoming new release.
The second part of your problem is that due to an oversight on my part the Plex server was added to the auto-startup scripts on the ReadyNAS. Thus it will start automatically and then the ReadyNAS firmware tries to start it a second time. While this shouldn't cause any problems for the second instance will detect the already running one as you can see in the log you posted, this may be irritating. To fix this first check whether the startup scripts actually exist using SSH:cd /etc
ls rc*/S*plex*
If this outputs anything, remove the startup files usingcd /etc
rm -f rc*/S*plex*
Then restart your ReadyNAS and all should be well (except for the double listing).
-Stefan - I had the same problem, I solved it by deinstalling both plexservers and a reinstall of the new.
The build of the database took some time, but it works now. Hope an upcomeing new release will do a smarter upgrade. - BJerryAspirantThanks for the reply, rebooting did the trick , had to recreate my sections in Plex Media Manager. Being able to upgrade would be nice , now you need to deinstall previous version and start fresh. I am not into Linux and don't know how to use ssh.
