[ReadyNAS 104] Drives not mounted after repairman took them out.

ReadyNAS 104
Firmware 6.10.5 hotfix 1

Hello,

I've had my ReadyNAS 104 for ages now. I use it as storage for old design projects and to make a time machine back up of my iMac.

I tried to do a time machine back up that failed and had to bring my ReadyNAS 104 to a computer repairman to get a full restore back on my computer.

Without asking, the repairman took out each drive from my ReadyNAS 104 to check if the drives were still good. He says he took out one at a time and put them back one at a time into the same slot, and then it took ages for a system restore.

When I got it home this is what I see:

Is there a way to easily just mount them back correctly? Looks like the data is still there. Not sure why it did this, or how to fix it. I have a download of my logs and can PM the link of them to anyone who needs them.

I have a backup drive from my ReadyNAS 104, but I'm pretty sure it says it failed the last back up so I'm afraid to use it in case I'll lose something.

Thanks,

-Justin-

Any help to get back all my hard work would be amazing.

He did the wrong thing.  He should have powered the NAS down before removing the drives, and left it down until they were all returned.

If you PM me the link, I can take a look.  Likely the volume is just out of sync - if that is the case, I can give you instructions on how fo forcibly assemble the array.

Do make sure the link permissions are set so anyone with the link can download.
