Ohmarr: In addition to resetting the password and network configuration, the OS reinstall will also turn off volume quota. You can re-enable that on the volume settings wheel.

It sounds to me like you saved the old password in your browser and it's sending that to the NAS. Of course, it's wrong, so the NAS thinks you need to reset it.
