I also have the user offline problem when trying to access an album from an email link sent to myself. I have tried the add-on suggested and I have made sure that the user ID and password for readynas are identical with the share.
I can see the photos locally via readynas photos but the link just does not want to work. Every time I get user offline.
I am not happy that the software either tries to duplicate the photos when loading or creates a new folder named after my readynas photos user. Is there any way to prevent this? Currently my photos are under media/pictures. As I said, I can see the photos using the readynas photo software.
I want to have my photos on the NAS. I want to be able to access the photos locally and via the internet. I want to let relatives see the photos. So far I have wasted hours on trying to get this to work with the Readynas software.
I am using an imac. The nas is connected via a gigabit switch.
I really do not know what else to try. Do I need to buy a QNAP? Any ideas?
