ReadyNAS Photos troubleshooting tips
If you're having problems getting ReadyNAS Photos to work, see if any of the following tips will help.
1. If you are in User or Domain security mode, and you don't have "public" or "guest" access enabled for the [media] share, you will need to specify a login and password to connect from the ReadyNAS Photos desktop software. The login and password should be what you would normally use to connect to the [media] share.
2. If you are in Share security mode, and you have a password set for the [media] share, when connecting from the ReadyNAS Photos desktop software, leave the login field blank, and enter the share password.
3. If you are in User or Domain security mode, and you are an account on the ReadyNAS with the same user name but a different password as what you are using on your PC, you will need to change the password to be the same.
4. Make sure [media] share has read/write privileges over CIFS.
5. If you have installed a pre-release version of RAIDiator that had ReadyNAS Photos support (shame on you since we never really released it ;-) ), and you're having problems with the READYNASPHOTOS database, you will need to remove the ReadyNAS Photos add-on, and re-install the add-on from here.

- betty23AspirantNow I no longer get the prompt for username and password. Instead, I see the blue readynas logo page for a couple of seconds, then it goes to blank screen. Tried this with several recipients and they get the same thing - just a blank screen on chrome and safari. On explorer it says unable to load page.

Sorry about that. This was a problem is corrected now. Shared photos should be accessible. - signaAspirantHi,

What can I do there? - minervaAspirantWhen you share photos with someone that has readynasphotos account, they will be asked to login to access the shared photos.
This way, the shared photos link you sent to readynasphotos users cannot be used by other people, even if they had access to the link. - betty23AspirantNow I have a new problem! It's only been a few days since things started working again.
When the recipient receives a link to shared photos, he is prompted for a username/email and a password! This is so frustrating. It's SUPPOSED to go directly to the photos.
I have tried: creating a new photo account; rebooting the nas; starting and stopping the service. Nothing solves the problem.
I'm pretty disappointed with this experience. Anyway, can someone help me with this issue? - AntheeAspirantI´m having trouble to start the ReadeNas Photos service. When I start it and save from Frontview. And next time i watch the service in Frontview it is closed.

Is anyone else having this problem? Can one of the board mods confirm?
Also having this problem. Share emails are not received. - jambalayaAspirantSame issue it's appears to be both the user sign up email and invite emails for the photos. I started having issues on Friday evening 8/13 since then...some portal appears to be down at the dekoh website.
I'm surprised there isn't a failover of some kind.
