ReadyNAS Remote + Hamachi = Problem
Can anybody else confirm that having the Logmein Hamachi Client installed alongside ReadyNAS Remote client creates problems with ReadyNAS Remote ?
After a day of going through the steps in various FAQs and tips provided by other users trying to get a connection to my remote ReadyNAS device I finally got ReadyNAS Remote to work inside a virtualbox virtual machine running Win XP as a guest.
1) I installed a clean WinXP virtual machine inside Virualbox (bridged networking) and immediately got ReadyNAS Remote to work - no problem.
2) After installing Logmein Hamachi client inside the virtual machine I could not connect to my remote NAS anymore.
3) Again, by un-installing the Hamachi client inside the virtual machine the ReadyNAS Remote was working and connecting normally again.
The problem is that I really need Hamachi installed! Can anybody help with additional info on configuring Hamachi and/or ReadyNAS Remote so that two can co-exist ?

- ncapAspirantI have the same problem and thank you for posting this. I just confirmed that only by un-installing Hamachi, this will resolve the issue of not being able to connect to the readynas duo remotely. I've been trying to figure this out for days. I think Hamachin uses similar IPs 5.x.x.x. Maybe both readynas and hamachi have limited IPs allocated?
I also need hamachi to work so if anyone has a workaround please post.
thanks,
ncap - matejk1AspirantGlad that my info helped you!
In the meantime I could confirm 100% that Hamachi was indeed causing problems for ReadyNAS Remote. There is no need to uninstall Hamachi, just disable the Hamachi network adapter + stop the Hamachi service (so if later you need Hamachi just restart the service and you're done).
M. - ncapAspiranthow do i stop the hamachi network adapter. Is this an option in the "ipconfig" command?
- matejk1Aspirantyou can use the netsh command for netword adapter control but there is an easier way (for adapter name just use "hamachi" or whatever's the name of hamachi virtual netword adapter on your system):

for service control from command line look at the instructions in :
