Thanks for warning me about the MAC address...duly edited.
Same problem but progress indicator seemed to get much farther - ie it was Getting Version then checking registration before the dialog pops up
It then pops up the advanced screen (for me to enter my proxy settings, if I had any) Dont suppose a device ID would help?
