I have an NV+ V2 with 5.3.5.
No matter what I try, I just can't get the readynas remote clients for Android or Windows 7 to work. FTP is set up correctly, as FTP clients work fine. On Android, I can see my NAS, but when I click on it, I get an FTP connection error ("cannot establish FTP connection..."). In Windows 7, the readynas remote client process starts, but the GUI does not launch. When I first installed the client in Windows, the GUI would start, but upon exit, the process remained running (even after killing the process manually and trying to restart the client). Now I don't get anything.
Edit: Re-installing the Windows client for a third time enabled me to log in successfully. However, when I click on "connect to ReadyNAS" I can't see my NAS or my shares. Just a blank window. To reiterate, I can see/access the share folders remotely via FTP and locally over Windows networking.
Does the Android client support Ice Cream Sandwich 4.04?
Kind of ironic how it is easier to manually configure FTP than to use the Addons that were supposedly created to simplify quick remote shares access...
