- JarnoGGuideYou can use an add-on called Automatic for that. It is capable of downloading the .torrent files to a certain directory or add them to Transmission directly.
- TieNN89AspirantDam Looks like a pain in the backside to setup :(
- JarnoGGuideI got Automatic working, but some features don't seem to work for me. I've got it to download all the torrents on a certain rss feed though, which is what I wanted.
- fifthoAspirantu got an example for your config. Not get it to work. Running Transmission_2.42 and automatic_0.6.4-readynas-0.9.7
- JarnoGGuideI've deleted all the comments, this is what is left:
transmission-version = "1.3"
rpc-host = "localhost"
rpc-port = 8181
rpc-auth = "User:Password"
url = {
"http://www.ezrss.it/search/index.php?show_name=The+Big+Bang+Theory&show_name_exact=true&mode=rss"
}
interval = 30
use-transmission = yes
start-torrents = yes
torrent-folder = "/c/media/BitTorrent/New"
statefile = "/c/addons-config/automatic/.config/automatic.state"
patterns = {
".*"
}
It doesn't use the "torrent-folder" as far as I've been able to see, but it has faithfully downloaded every episode. - BjornemannAspirantJust wanted to thank you @JarnoG! Have been having trouble with Automatic now for a while, but used your template for the config-file and now it's working like a charm!
Thanks again!
Bjorn - JarnoGGuideYou're welcome. I'm still looking for a way to use Automatic to get a bit more control over my downloads (patterns, download-to-folder, etc). I know it should be possible, but I haven't gotten it to work yet, so if you've found some more info on this, let me know :)
- jonasliljestranAspirantJarnog:
have you had any progress with download-to folder? =) For me it just seams like sending the correct params to transmission. - JarnoGGuideI haven't spend much time on trying to figure it out. Right now I'm downloading everything to the same folder (the default download-to folder for Transmission) and then I manually move them to the right location using Transmission Remote dotnet.
- I'm just getting stated with Transmission. I have Transmission 3.00.3 and Automatic 1.1.1 installed on my ReadyNAS 312. I installed 'Transmission Full Control' as the enhanced front end for Transmission, and I'm able to download torrents to a specific folder with no problems.
When I update the Automatic config file how do I get Automatic to make the changes (restart automatic)?
When I open the ReadyNAS 6.1.4 and go into system tab I don't see Automatic, but when I go into the Apps tab it is there. The launch button is ghosted out. How do I know Automatic is running?
