SABnzbd Folder Help Required

I have installed both Python and SABnzbd (latest versions) on my NV+ and set it up. However, I'm having trouble with my folders. I have created the following folders:

/c/media/sabnzb/complete
/c/media/sabnzb/nzb

When I save them they show up in explorer on my pc but I receive a message saying I don't have permission to access the sabnzb folder. Can anyone help a NV+ noob with setting this up correctly?

Thanks

Ian

  • Sorted out this problem and the folders are now showing (not sure what I did to fix it though!).

Got another problem now though. When the file is loaded I then get an error message stating that the nzb file could not be cleared from the folder. This option has worked on other versions of nzb that I have used. Can anyone help?
  • Probably also permission related. I just didn't have the time to look at your problem closely.

  • Hi guys,

I wonder if anyone can help as I am experiencing the same problem whilst trying to access the download folder in the "media" share directory via Windows Explorer. I get the same "You do not have have permission to \\OzNAS\media\TV" error. I haven't changed the default download directory or any of the generated sub folders.

How did you get it working, Ian?

    Much obliged.

  • fyi for anyone like me that needs to search for this.

    777 full access for everyone
    700 only private access
755 private read/write access, others only read access
750 private read/write access, group read access, others no access
  • I'm having this same issue. I can see the "download" folder under media, and I have set permissions for completed folder to 777. Still getting the error message "Downloads is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource..."

    Any advice appreciated.
  • easiest thing is to just change the folder permissions through SSH. Basically just SSH into the box, go to the media folder, and then type in 'chmod -R 777 Downloads' type that without the apostrophes. This will change permissions on the Downloads folder to everyone, and recursively change permissions on any other folders/files in the directory. I had the same issue, so I just did that and it works fine now.
