I have two 312 working perfectly up to September 2014 when backups started failing. I am having the exact same trouble as described by OP. Sent email message for Immediate Support from the Replication Portal with no response. Let's see if anyone at Netgear is reading this board and can help resolve the trouble. I am giving this until the end of November for a response before sending a direct message to the top.
