I wanted to ask the community if anyone has successfully moved clean raid 5 disks from a legacy NV + Sparc version 4.x to the latest NAS 412 ver 6.x? My old NAS died and presently has my data hostage. Seems I can pay 200 for a piece of software to try to recover my data but initial review appears it will not retrieve the tree or file names. Or I can pay NETGEAR 180 with no promises. Just checking my options.Re-register Replicate license of factory-defaulted Pro 4
Greetings: I had to factory-default one of our ReadyNAS Pro 4 units (running 4.2.31 firmware) and reinstalled Replicate 1.2.0, but can‘t get the license to re-register: “Unable to register license: Please check your Network Settings”. I can’t even get it to register a 45-day trial license (same error message). It’s getting those network settings by DHCP and has no problems finding and downloading the Replicate binary, so I figure that’s not really the problem. Might the phase-out of ReadyNAS Remote and Replicate now be affecting the license registrations? I had problems re-registering Replicate licenses before, but the trial licenses always worked.Replicate issues STILL....
I have 2 readynas usnits runnig the latets firmware and they (after sorting out a p2p issue) backed up fine locally and now I have one unit offsite the backups are failing. Any advice please as I am tearing my hair out with these units. This started earlier this week. The logs don't say what file it had an issue with so I'm unable to debug anything (fix the file). Is there someplace else to look? Thanks. The Setup SITE ONE: Site one is the main operating location of a business that has a RN102 connected to the the local network and readycloud as well replicate SITE TWO: Site two is the remote secured location of a RN102 behind a firewall, Connected to ReadyCloud and Replicate What I have Done So far A few weeks ago I was having issues with some of the users at "SITE ONE" not being able to access folders via ReadyCloud so I ened up having to disconnect the NAS from the ReadyCloud and reconnect it back to the ReadyCloud. I re-added users and granted them permissions on the NAS and ReadyCloud After that my Replicate Backup Failed with errors I than removed and reconnected the SITE TWO NAS from ReadyCloud and tried the backup again and the backup failed I than read and followed the instructions to disconnect and reconnect each NAS from SITE ONE and SITE TWO to replicate and had to recreate the backup job. I have not been able to resume any of the previous backups that are already on the backup nas or restore any of the previous backups I should not be having to transfer 119GB of data between the two sites when I recreated the job as the job should have read and seen that the files are already on the backup nas and only transfer the modified files or new files to the backup NAS I have tried to "resume from" but nothing shows up as well nothing shows up under the "resume" option either I have looked at creating a restore job but it shows that there are not backups available on the remote nas to restore When I run the backup job it gets to a file and it looks as if it hangs on that file than the job fails. Exit code: 30 (Data send/receive timeout) Site ONE I am able to create port forward to the NAS Site TWO I am unable to create port forwards as I do not have access to the router It may come to the point that I may need to have them relocate the SITE TWO NAS to a different location where I can create and do port forwards to connect the device. I ahve also notice that I am able to Connect to SITE TWO via the readycloud VPN but not SITE ONE via VPN?Not able to create readynas remote account - user exists
Hi, I am trying to create a new ReadyNAS Remote account for NAS sync to an offsite ReadyNAS. When I try to create the account it keeps saying the UserID exists although I have tried 20 different combinations of everything. The User already exists, please try again. Is there a bug with it? https://remote.readynas.com/index.jsp?pid=5&ref=https://replicate.readynas.com/login/index.html;jsessionid=1C7A437E04FA665EDF5C0EA5550F8D2C Thanks.Replicate on a 3200
I have purchased a 516 and I want to replicate from a 3200 onto it so that I can reformat the 3200 to get advantage of the larger drives that have been fitted. Replicate installed fine on the 516 (and co-incidentally on my ReadyNAS Pro) but when I go to install the app on the 3200 it says that there is a name conflict. I have followed the threads and keep ending up in ReadyNas remote main screen and cannot find what is said to be "in the bottom right hand corner". Can somebody advise what I am doing wrong please (I don't have p2p installed/running as far as I know). Thanks in advance - TerryReplicate not working error -50 . Services Offline in Cloud tab on source unit.
I am trying to get an offsite backup for our NAS to an offsite location but am having serious issues. Source NAS is a ReadyNas 314 running latetst firmware 6.5.1 and the ofdfsite unit is a ReadyNas 202 running the same firmware. Both units can be seen within readycloud and I cna browse both units remotely without any issue. Both units are seen in Replicate login as well and can see folder structure on both. it WILL NOT backup at all regardless of what I do. I have reset readycloud and replicate on both units several times but still get this in the replicate report. Kind of tearing my hair out now so anyhting at all would be great as I am going bleary eyed checkign through all options I cna find online and getting nowhere.
